From SWYS to AYSS

The series began in Tangshan, China, in 2025 as the China-Japan-Korea Steel Workshop for Young Scholars (SWYS). It has since been renamed the Asian Young Scholars in Steel Symposium (AYSS), with the second edition taking place in Tokyo in 2027.
